Geological and Geophysical (G&G) and

High-Resolution Geophysical (HRG) Surveys

G&G HRG surveys efficiently map seabed morphology and subbottom stratigraphy using a suite of geophysical tools and are often performed to aid in siting offshore (i.e. O&G, renewable energy) structures and locating marine mineral resources. HRG surveys are also used to support offshore archaeological, geohazard, benthic habitat, unexploded ordinance (UXO) mappings and evaluations. HRG surveys may include:

  • Multibeam echosounder
  • Side Scan Sonar
  • Subbottom Seismic Reflection Profiler
  • Subbottom Seismic Refraction
  • Marine Magnetometer and/or Gradiometer
